Sydney is now sealed to our Eternal Family!

Our belief is that when you get sealed to someone, you are being bound together by God for eternity, so that our families can be together forever, in this life, and in the life hereafter.  What a blessing to know these things.  We had a beautiful day at the Columbus temple and afterward we invited some friends to go to Macaroni Grill with us.  Really good Italian food.  But it was a wonderful day!

Sydney Lynn is blessed

Today was a great day, my Dad and Diana came yesterday to be here with us when we go to the temple with Sydney. So today she will get a blessing and then on Wednesday we will go to the temple.  Here everyone is getting ready and then we have some pictures at the church.  As you can see Sydney wasn't too happy about getting her dress on and she hates it when I try to do her hair.

Our baby has graduated from High School - Mentor High 2010

Well, the day I have been dreading she is finally graduated, from both High School and Seminary.  Today was for Mentor High.  Of course mom cried, it's like a finalization that she is now an adult.  It makes me feel old.  She was beautiful though and we are so proud of her.

Sleepy girl!

Doesn't everyone have a picture of their child that has fallen asleep while eating their dinner in the high chair?  Well here is Sydney doing just that.  She's so cute!  She was eating spaghetti with meat sauce.  She loves that, it's definitely one of her favorites.

This cute little baby girl would not eat baby food.  She couldn't stand the way it tasted, every time I would try to give it to her she would gag and throw up.  I felt so bad, but I kept trying, same thing happened every time I tried.  Finally I started just giving her table food, and she loved it.  She just skipped the baby food because she couldn't stand it.  YUKKY!  Here is a funny video of that.......well funny, but I felt bad too.....

Sydney's Adoption is Final, well almost.......

Today we went to Columbus to finalize Sydney's adoption.  Everything went well, and we thought we were all set but then we found out and noone had realized that we had another person in the house that had turned 18, and when that happens you have to have background checks done on anyone that lives in the house that is 18 or older.  So they went ahead and did part of the background check by taking Whitley's fingerprints and then running them, and of course found nothing, then there was just one other part that they had to do but it wouldn't be done that day.  But we talked to the judge and she said that for all intents and purposes we are basically cleared and finalized that paper just has to come back, and that will happen in a few days and then it will be final, but she said there is nothing to worry about. So basically everything was done and then on the 21st it ended up being final instead of the 10th, so it's all good.  We feel so happy and fortunate that everything went smoothly for the most part.  We also feel so fortunate to have this beautiful baby girl in our family.  She is so sweet and bring such a happy spirit to our home.

                                            And, the hair just keeps on growing.......

Sydney turns 6 months!

Yay, Sydney turned 6 months today!  Here is the report from the Dr.

Height     26 inches - 65th Percentile
Weight    18 lbs. 13 oz. - 95th Percentile

She now has 5 teeth and is just growing like a weed!

Whitley's last PROM - 2010

Whitley on her last Prom. Whit and Joe broke up so they went with other people to prom. She said she had a good time. She looked so pretty. Thanks so much to Kelli Dahlstrom (my best friend) who did Whitley's hair for her. She looked absolutley beautiful.
